China Metallurgical Shenkou Yingkou High-precision Aluminum and Processed Material Project Geological Investigation Starts

Recently, the geological survey for the 700,000-ton high-precision aluminum and processed wood project at Zhongwang Group in Zhongkou, Yingkou, and Zhongye has officially begun. This significant development marks a key milestone in the second phase of the Yingkou Coastal Industrial Base in Liaoning Province.

The project spans an area of 1.69 million square meters and is strategically located near the planned Jingsi Road to the south and Yingbin Road to the east, offering excellent transportation connectivity. To ensure accurate data collection, the drilling operation employs rotary drilling with mud wall protection techniques. A total of 463 boreholes were drilled, with a diameter of Ф110 mm. Among these, 296 were general exploration holes, covering a combined depth of 1,470 meters. Six XY-100 drilling rigs are currently in use, with three spare units on standby to maintain continuous operations.

During the drilling process, various tests were conducted, including standard penetration tests, dynamic penetration tests, wave velocity tests, and soil sampling. Both undisturbed and disturbed soil samples, as well as groundwater and environmental soil samples, were collected. When taking undisturbed soil samples, a thin soil grab was used to preserve the integrity of the sample. These detailed investigations are expected to be completed within 35 days, after which a comprehensive investigation report will be submitted to the relevant authorities.
