The introduction of such tax benefits is expected to drive continued profit growth for PV manufacturing companies, creating more investment opportunities for related stocks under supportive policies. Analysts from Cinda Securities noted that the PV pricing policy exceeded expectations, which could boost downstream PV applications and improve returns for developers. Galaxy Securities also highlighted that as technology advances and investor diversity increases, the overall revenue of the PV industry is likely to grow. Over time, the revenue distribution between the manufacturing and system sides may shift toward the manufacturing end, reversing the trend that had been in place since 2008. This shift signals an opportunity for the industry to return to stronger profitability.
In fact, data shows that the 36 A-share listed solar energy companies achieved a net profit of RMB 512 million attributable to shareholders in the first half of 2013, a significant improvement from a loss of RMB 360 million in the same period in 2012. This indicates a clear turning point, with the PV industry showing signs of recovery.
Given this positive trend, the photovoltaic sector is currently in a recovery phase, and analysts maintain a "recommended" rating for the industry. Investors are advised to focus on leading companies in the solar power and monocrystalline silicon sectors, such as Longji, which stand to benefit from domestic market demand. Additionally, enterprises involved in polysilicon production, like TBEA, are worth watching. Shenyin Wanguo has also pointed out that the PV industry has exited its downturn and is now recovering quarter by quarter, signaling a promising outlook for the future.
