Detailed Discussion on the Disassembly Skills of Cylindrical Bore Rolling Bearings

When disassembling cylindrical bore rolling bearings, it's important to ensure that both the bearing and its surrounding components can be reused. The bearing ring should be carefully pulled out using a suitable method. If this isn't possible, follow the correct procedure depending on whether the outer or inner ring is tightly fitted. If the outer ring is in tight contact with the housing, first remove the bearing and the housing together. Then apply pressure to the outer ring to separate it from the housing. For an inner ring that is tightly fitted to the shaft, remove the bearing and the shaft as a unit. Apply pressure to extract the inner ring from the shaft. For small bearings, mechanical pullers or hydraulic presses are typically used for disassembly. If the shaft or housing has a groove designed for bearing removal, the process becomes much simpler. In such cases, you can directly apply the disassembly tool to the engaged ring. However, if there’s no pre-designed groove, special disassembly equipment may be required. When dealing with hot-pressed cylindrical roller bearings, induction heating equipment is the preferred method. This technique allows for quick heating without transferring excessive heat to the shaft, making it easier to release the inner ring. Hydraulic cylinders can also be used to press the bearing away from the mating surface. For bearings without a rib or with only a fixed rib, a radial groove made from light metal can be heated on an electric plate to around 200–300°C. Once heated, the ring is placed over the inner race and clamped. When the inner ring loosens, it can be removed quickly. It's crucial not to leave the heating ring on for too long to avoid overheating and potential damage. In cases where induction heating isn't available or the bearing lacks an oil groove, a flame (preferably a ring-shaped burner) can be used to heat the inner ring. However, since bearing rings are sensitive to uneven heating and localized overheating, care must be taken during the process.
