Mechanical boring

A boring machine is a type of machine tool used primarily to enlarge or finish pre-drilled holes on a workpiece. 3. Fine Boring Machine: Designed for high-precision work, this machine uses tools made of materials like diamond or cemented carbide to achieve extremely fine finishes and tight tolerances.

4. Deep Hole Boring Machine: Specifically designed for boring deep holes where conventional methods may not be suitable. These machines are often used in industries such as aerospace and automotive manufacturing.

5. Floor Boring Machine: In this type, the workpiece is placed directly on a floor-mounted table, and the column moves along the bed for machining large parts. It is particularly useful when working with oversized or heavy components.
