Quickly build solid model by using intersection calculation in AutoCAD

At this time, if you can make full use of the already drawn drawings and use the intersection calculation reasonably in AutoCAD, you can easily perform part modeling. The steps are as follows.

(1) Extract the outer contour line. Draw the outlines of the two view objects, and generate the corresponding areas, as shown in the shaded part of Figure 1b. It must be pointed out that extracting the outer contour line is not a complete copy of the three-view graphic. For example, the top view not only draws the largest border line, but also draws a circle representing the hole passing through the object.

(2) Stretch the corresponding fields of the main and the lower sides (Ext rude), the stretching distance must not be less than the maximum width and maximum height of the part. (3) Align the two shapes created by positional relationship (Al ign), that is, make them completely mutually tolerant. As shown in Figure 1c.

(4) The two shapes are operated using Intersect in a Boolean operation, and the result is as shown in Fig. 1d. From the above example, we can see the powerful function of the intersection operation in 3D solid modeling. The execution effect is faster than the result of multiple and differential operations to obtain the same result or even the result that is difficult to obtain with the difference operation. a lot of. Therefore, according to the process of "extracting outer contour line → generating feature body → aligning → intersecting operation", it is convenient to establish the shape of the part product, as shown in the modeling process of another part as shown in FIG. 2 .

In summary, based on the existing two-dimensional graphic information, the reasonable use of the intersection operation in the Boolean operation can not only quickly improve the speed of 3D solid modeling, but also enrich the means of part modeling.
