Panels were made of cold-rolled steel with spray finishes, while burners used cast iron with plating or zinc treatment. Electronic piezoelectric ignition became common, improving the reliability and efficiency of gas stoves. This era marked a major step forward in both performance and durability.
3. The Breakthrough Period (1990–2006): Diverse Designs and Advanced Features From the 1990s onward, China’s economy experienced rapid growth, and so did the gas appliance industry. The introduction of advanced foreign technologies led to major innovations in stove design and functionality. Gas cookers became more diverse in style, with improved safety features, better materials, and enhanced performance.
Manufacturing processes became more refined, with greater automation and smarter designs. Energy efficiency and environmental protection became important considerations, and gas stoves became safer and more reliable. The materials used in cookers gradually shifted away from cast iron, with stainless steel, non-stick coatings, tempered glass, and even ceramic panels becoming popular choices.
