Red Deer Cloning Technology Successfully Tested in Bahrain Zuoqi, Inner Mongolia

Xinhua News Agency, Hohhot, August 6th According to the news provided by the government of Bahrain Zuoqi, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, recently, red deer cloning technology was successfully tested in Bahrain Zuoqi.

According to reports, since 2007, Balin Zuoqi Jianyuan Luye Company has cooperated with Mengniu Breeding Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and Inner Mongolia University Life Sciences Academy and other scientific research units to carry out the red deer cloning technology cooperation. In October 2008, the somatic cells collected from the "Diamond One" red deer were transplanted into the body of 9 red deer, and 4 of them were successfully conceived. Now, three female deer have given birth and one has a miscarriage.

According to the introduction, the “Diamond No. 1” red deer self-cultivated by Jianyuan Deer Industry Co., Ltd. is the country’s largest producer of sawdust. In 2008, the “Diamond No. 1” red deer produced 25.2 kg of antler, which was identified by an authoritative organization.

According to another report, in 2006, Jianyuan Luye Company had conducted research on sex deer control technology with experts from Mengniu Breeding Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia University. It entered the technical implementation stage in 2007 and achieved significant results after two years of research and experiments. . Since only male red deer produce antler, the use of modern biotechnology to artificially control the deer offspring's sex can significantly increase the economic benefits of red deer farmers.
