Solliance perovskite module achieves 14.5% battery efficiency

This module uses a 6 x 6-inch commercial glass substrate, and 24 cells are connected in series by laser printing. A stable efficiency of 13.8% was measured on a 144 cm light area, and individual cells reached a conversion efficiency of 14.5%. Solliance believes this result demonstrates the scalability of this process and the commercial potential of perovskite glass components.

Although the efficiency of perovskite components in laboratory environments can be as high as 22.7%, they are usually produced on very small batteries, and the production process of these batteries cannot be used for large-scale production. Solliance stated that its perovskite component can achieve comparable efficiency over a larger area than commercial solar technology, which can be used for mass production.

Solliance also recently integrated the calcium-titanium material with silicon using the structure of a series battery, achieving a conversion efficiency of 26.3%.
