Today, the wardrobe and cabinet industry is growing rapidly, with a wide variety of products available on the market. As consumer demands increase, so do the challenges when choosing quality brands. Unfortunately, not all brands are reliable, and there are currently five major issues that consumers should be aware of when purchasing wardrobes and cabinets:
First, confusing board grades. Many distributors claim their products use E1-grade materials, which are considered safe in terms of health standards. However, it's important to know that E1 grades can vary between domestic and European standards, both in terms of formaldehyde emissions and pricing. Without proper knowledge, consumers may be misled by unscrupulous sellers. When signing a contract, make sure to check the details—such as the grade of the board, hardware brand, and countertop material.
Second, false advertising. With the growing trend of eco-friendly living, many manufacturers highlight the "green" and "safe" nature of their products. However, China has yet to implement comprehensive testing or set clear standards for complete wardrobe sets. Some companies cut corners, leading to potential environmental hazards. Always verify the materials used and ask for third-party certifications if possible.
Third, lack of professional design. A well-designed wardrobe depends heavily on accurate measurements and thoughtful layout. From the initial site visit to the final plan, every detail matters. The designer must consider not only the style but also the functionality and space optimization. Poor design can lead to wasted space and inefficient use of the area.
Fourth, inadequate after-sales service. Modern wardrobes often come with electrical accessories that require regular maintenance. It's essential to choose a brand that offers a strong support system, including warranty, repair services, and customer care. Don’t overlook this aspect—it can save you from future headaches.
Fifth, poor quality and unreliable manufacturing processes. Consumers often don’t have the expertise to assess the quality of hardware and fittings. Yet these components play a crucial role in the overall durability and performance of the wardrobe. Many manufacturers boast about advanced production lines, but without skilled craftsmanship and strict quality control, the end result may fall short. When buying, ask to see the production process and visit the factory if possible. This will give you a better sense of the brand’s commitment to quality.
