How to apply potash properly?

To master the correct application of potash, the following three aspects should be addressed:
Applied due to crops. Potassium fertilizers mainly increase yields for cereal crops, and improve quality for cash crops. If sugar content is increased and acidity is lowered, the rational application of potash should be determined according to the requirements of agricultural production for product traits and their uses. In addition, due to the different potassium needs of different crops and the different potassium absorption capacity of the roots, the degree of response of crops to potassium fertilizers is also different. From the results of many years of potash application, crops such as rice, corn, cotton, sweet potato and oilseeds are applied after applying potassium fertilizer. The best yield increase is 11.7%-43.3%. Other crops such as wheat are second.
Pay attention to the rotation of potash. In rice-and-rice rotation, due to the application of organic fertilizer, late rice generally does not apply organic fertilizer, so potassium fertilizer should be applied to late rice. In winter wheat and summer maize rotation, potassium fertilizer should be used preferentially on corn.
Pay attention to the reasonable mix between potash varieties. For tobacco, sugar crops, and fruit trees, potassium sulphate is preferred. Because of the chlorine in the potassium chloride, the potassium chloride is suitable. Due to the high cost of potassium sulphate, potassium sulphate can be selected for efficient economic crops; for general field crops, cheaper potassium chloride is preferred.
