The third is that the wild wheat ears have long grains and thousands of grains. The average number of grains per panicle was 46 , which was more than 15 grains more than the cultivar . The average thousand grain weight was 24g , which was 15g lower than that of wheat . The fourth is early maturity, strong shattering, and about 5 days earlier than wheat .
In short, wild wheat seems to be able to form yield, but it can be harvested very little. Some farmers are reluctant to pull out, which leads to the increasing amount of wild wheat in the wheat field, which is easy to cause lodging, lower yield and lower quality. Control measures: 1. Selected species. Use selected high quality seeds. In particular, self-retained seeds must be removed from the field.
